About The Designer, it all started with a passion for Art, Craft, and Design since his childhood. The hobby became his profession and he started to look for Art Form and Innovation in every Pair of a Shoe that he planned.
In 1995 He directed his new medium of work to Footwear with formal training. In the Year 2000 PAVITRA KUMAR SEN started a Design Studio with Designing and Prototyping facilities in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
Now with an idea of taking his Creative Abilities and Knowledge of the Product to the world, designsby-pavitra.com has been launched.
About The Designer
Pavitra Kumar Sen
” I have extensive experience in developing various categories of Footwear. I started my journey into Footwear with a Diploma In Footwear Design from Footwear Design & Development Institute, NOIDA, India, in 1995 and Advanced Diploma in Footwear Design from Arsutoria School, Milan, Italy in 2000.
I am a Graduate in B.Sc. ( Math Hons.), From Ranchi University. I have also been a member of the Seminar in Advanced Footwear Design Techniques by the Italian Trade Commission, ASSOCHAM, and UNDP, in New Delhi.
Since the beginning of my career, I have had an influence of the Italian culture in my designs. I love the way they look at a subject, their Art, their Sense of Design Values….
Between the years 2000 and 2002 I have visited Italy a couple of times for training and working with Italian Expert Designers.
I have always tried to infuse elements and concepts of different cultures into my designs so that the finale is something interesting and demands curiosity”.

The Design Studio, By Pavitra Kumar Sen, since its inception, gained a reputation of being Experimental with the design concepts and trying to bring in Original and innovative products.
The studio has been engaged in developing collections for Brands like Lee Cooper, Adidas, Bata, Hitz, SSIPL, Action to name a few and tell a lot About Us.
Traditional Indian crafts, Hand made constructions and standard proportional balance have always been a priority in our development processes.
The Designer’s Signature style is, “Minimal look with Bold Statements and Fluidic lines”. Because of the training backgrounds, our designs always wear an Italian look Conceptually. We always include our Client’s objectives into the Initial Brief of a Collection. Explore more to know About Us.
